Sick of this world

Hatred, selfishness, poverty, modernisation blah blah are getting on my nerves and I wish it would all fade away. Metallica's song Sad But True comes to the mind.

Ground hit!

I was strictly told to apply leave on Monday to pay visit to our family god. Fearing repurcussions on non-compliance, I agreeed. I didn't apply leave . I thought I will use one of the so called sick leaves. :D Even with injury I had been working. So, I thought I can atleast take one now.
We took the road from Dharwar . After 5kms or so, we were greeted with roads with pot holes strewn all over. Unless you are least worried about ur suspension, you can just glide through. :D At places, there are these huge mounds. Tackling them without the silencer touchign the ground was a herculena task. As I was not at the wheel, you could expect the "la touche". I was the navigator and was trying to tell my driver *bro* to turn left , right, 90 degree turn etc. With more of my talks, the driver was fuming. We reached Yaragatti a small central place. I think it must be a taluk. I have been to this place before. My Dad's bro was a resident doctor in the PHC here. *for people who don't know what a resident doc and PHC is , there are no shortage for ignorant ppl* We had our K T *K Tea- made out of milk rather than water*.
After this was the start of a stretch of 15kms road that was all muddy and no tar at all. As it was drizzling, the whole road *if you can call them by that name* was shining. We finally passed this stretch in an hour. By the way, hearing my cries , the driver got angry and I started to drive inspite of the wound in the elbow. :P
We reached the place. My dad's bro had already reached. We met my cousin who was trying to locate a shop. We (with my Dad's bro family)immediately left for the temple. The temple was undergoing renovation. The dieties were all covered at the top and side with bricks to protect them. This was my first visit and I coudln't see the dieties. Any thing bad in store for me in the future? No idea.
While returnign back, we made a quick dash to Yellama temple at Saundatti. This is the very temple that had been making headlines about Devadasis some time back. We had to wait a while to get the darshan. Every temple now wants to start the practise of special darshan. Also, some temple authorities allow "their" known ppl inside inspite of seeign many ppl waitign for the door to be opened. This is the state of affairs in most temples in India. Time has come for a revolution in the temple affairs. Basavanna, religious leader got a revolution going centuries ago with respect to religious practises. There needs someone to get humanity back on track.
It was nearign 8 when we were about to leave Saundatti. I drove like a maniac to reach Hubli within 10pm. My bus to Bangalore was at 10 pm. :P I was in a daze when I took on the stretch between Dharwar n Hubli. I reached home, had a quick bite in 10 mins and made it in time for my bus that was leaving fro Blore.
